Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has issued a stern warning of retaliation against Russia in response to the recent severe attacks. In a compelling evening video address, Zelensky declared, “The terrorist state will definitely feel our response.”
The impact of Russia’s attacks has been devastating, resulting in four deaths and 45 injuries across the Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Khmelnytskyi regions, and Zelensky’s hometown of Kryvyi Rih. Intent on a robust reaction, Zelensky announced that negotiations with international partners would prioritize bolstering Ukraine’s air defense capabilities.
Monday morning witnessed a barrage of Russian attacks employing dozens of missiles, cruise missiles, and drones. The efficacy of interception was hindered by the bombing of certain regions, less fortified than the capital Kyiv, which benefits from advanced air defense systems supplied from the West.
For almost two years, Ukraine has steadfastly defended itself against Russia’s relentless war of aggression.
