Move over Vienna—Graz is Austria’s best-kept secret, and British Airways is about to let it out.
Starting November 25, 2025, Brits can fly directly from London Gatwick to Graz, three times a week, making it easier than ever to explore this quirky and culture-packed city in southern Austria.

Dubbed a “heart-stealer” by Lonely Planet and known for its blend of quirky modern attractions (like the world’s tallest underground slide and a museum dedicated to Arnold Schwarzenegger) and Baroque charm, Graz is a dream for adventurous travellers and foodies alike.

From exploring the clock tower on Schlossberg Hill and sliding down its 175-meter slide, to sipping Styrian wine on the Mur Island, Graz offers a unique mix of fun, nature, history, and art. It’s also home to the Kunsthaus — a futuristic “friendly alien” museum that’s become the city’s unofficial mascot.

🌳 For nature lovers: chill out in Stadtpark or kayak at Stadstrand Graz.
🍷 For foodies: taste pumpkin seed oil, try open-face sandwiches, and book ahead for the Truffle Festival or Long Table of Graz.
🎨 For culture buffs: visit the Joanneum Quarter, Europe’s largest armory, and yes — Arnie’s museum.

With mild Mediterranean-tinged weather, stunning Renaissance architecture, and budget-friendly prices (lunch can cost as little as €10.50), Graz is ready to be your next favorite city break.
