BNB Chain Surpasses Solana in Daily Transaction Fees: Becomes Top Blockchain in Revenue

Spread the love

In a significant shift within the blockchain ecosystem, BNB Chain, closely tied to the Binance cryptocurrency exchange, has surpassed Solana to become the industry leader in daily transaction fee revenue. According to data from analytics firm Nansen, BNB Chain generated over $5.8 million in daily transaction fees on February 13, outpacing Solana’s $3.3 million and far exceeding Ethereum’s figures by more than five times.

This achievement marks the first time since October 31, 2024, that a blockchain other than Ethereum or Solana has claimed the top spot in daily transaction fee revenue. The surge in BNB Chain’s fee revenue can largely be attributed to PancakeSwap, a decentralized exchange (DEX) that primarily operates on the BNB Chain. On February 13, PancakeSwap recorded the highest transaction volume among all DEXs across multiple blockchains, solidifying its role as a key driver of activity on the network.

The growth of BNB Chain isn’t limited to decentralized exchanges. The network has also seen a notable increase in daily active addresses, recently surpassing both Tron and Ethereum to secure the second-highest position in this metric. Despite this progress, BNB Chain still trails behind Solana, which boasts an impressive 35.8 million active addresses over the past week compared to BNB Chain’s nearly 6 million.

This milestone underscores BNB Chain’s growing influence and adoption within the blockchain space, particularly as it continues to attract users and developers with its low fees and robust ecosystem. While Solana remains a dominant player in terms of user activity, BNB Chain’s recent performance highlights its potential to compete at the highest levels of the industry.

As the blockchain landscape evolves, BNB Chain’s ability to maintain this momentum will be closely watched. For now, its rise to the top of the transaction fee revenue charts signals a new chapter in the ongoing competition among leading blockchain networks.
