Israel’s Mossad Chief: Our Focus on Iran Remains Firm
Israel’s intelligence chief has made it clear that the country will continue to keep a close watch on Iran, even after the conclusion of a recent 12-day conflict between the two sides. Mossad Director David Barnea, in a statement released Wednesday, reaffirmed Israel’s commitment to monitoring Iran’s activities.
“We will not take our eyes off Iran and its ambitions. Our presence and vigilance will continue, just as it has until now,” Barnea stated in a video message shared by the agency.
Barnea went on to acknowledge the valuable support provided by the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), crediting their cooperation as key to Israel’s operational success in Iran. He explained that the achievements were the result of long-term planning and careful execution: “We worked for months and years, taking the necessary steps to act at precisely the right time.”
According to Barnea, the successful operations by Israel’s military and intelligence services have had a significant impact on national morale. “Today, Israel feels like a safer and stronger nation,” he said, adding that goals once considered out of reach have now been realized.
