Kanye West has once again stirred controversy, this time by releasing a new track featuring his daughter, North West, alongside Diddy and Christian “King” Combs—despite Kim Kardashian’s strong objections.

The song, titled “Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine,” was posted on X (formerly Twitter) on March 15, with Kanye initially crediting it as a Puff Daddy song. The track begins with a recorded phone call between Kanye and Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently facing federal sex-crimes charges. Diddy expresses gratitude for Kanye’s support of his children, to which Kanye responds, “I love you so much, man.”

Kim Kardashian’s Attempt to Block the Release

Before the song’s release, Kim Kardashian reportedly attempted to prevent North from being included. Screenshots posted by Kanye—later deleted—showed a heated exchange where Kim allegedly wrote, “I sent paperwork over so she wouldn’t be in the Diddy song. To protect her.” Kanye responded aggressively, warning, “Amend it or I’m going to war.”

Despite initially telling Kim he would not release the track, Kanye went ahead—only to later delete it from X. TMZ reports that Kardashian had issued a cease and desist in an effort to block the song’s release, but Kanye ignored it.

As of now, Kim Kardashian has not publicly responded to Kanye’s latest actions. However, this incident adds another layer to their ongoing co-parenting tensions and Kanye’s unpredictable public behavior.

What’s Next?

With the song already removed, the question remains: Will legal action follow? And what impact will this have on the already strained relationship between Kanye, Kim, and their children?
